What we do (and don't do) with your data

What happens to my code?

Outside of account information and explicit user surveys, no data you input into Command Center goes to our servers. Your code, API keys, and preferences are safe on your machine.

When you generate a walkthrough or analyze a refactoring, your code is sent directly to your chosen AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). You control when this happens.

The exception is if you use our free Gemini proxy for walkthroughs or refactorings instead of your own API key or AI subscription, or use our bundled coding agent with Gemini instead of your own coding agent. In that case, your prompt and response content will pass through our servers en route to Gemini and will not be retained. We do log per-request operational metadata (model name, token counts, latency, and a short hash of the system prompt) so we can monitor reliability and cost. During short, temporary debugging windows we may also emit prompt and response content into our log pipeline encrypted to an offline key, readable only by Up To Speed staff with that key on a local machine; the data is destroyed by deleting the key.

Where is my data stored?

Everything is stored locally on your computer in ~/.commandcenter. This includes your walkthroughs, settings, and device cookie. None of it is stored on our servers.

What do you collect?

  • Account data: When you sign in, we store your device cookie to authenticate with our services.
  • Telemetry (opt-in): If you opt in, we collect basic data about when and how much you use Command Center features. No code is ever included.

What about AI providers?

When you use AI features, your code goes directly to your chosen provider. See their privacy policies:

What if the company is sold?

In connection with any merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

How do I delete my data?

Delete your account at cc.dev, then delete ~/.commandcenter. That's it—everything else is local.
